Design Right - Overview
Design right is a property right which arises
automatically in certain designs.
For a limited period of time, the owner of the design
right can take legal action to prevent unauthorised copying of the
design.
Design right does not give the owner the right to stop
others dealing in a design which, although similar, has been created
independently without copying.
